Author: Philippe Versailles

Photographer, journalist and travel writer. Philippe started at the age of 15 years (somewhere in 1977) to take pictures (analogue) and write short stories from travels he made with his parents and afterwards alone or in company. Since 2003 he went digital. He works nowadays with a Nikon D5200 – DX format. He made several travels across Europe and Northern Africa. He always got and still have a strong eye and interest for art, history, architecture, local people, cuisine and traditions, the great outdoors and hidden places far away from the beaten tracks. He is specialized in landscape-, nature-, street-, architecture- and travel photography. As a former journalist he combines photography with travel writing and cultural content creation as a freelancer or just for fun. He uses several devices to work on his pictures and writings (iMac, Acer Aspire 5, smartphone and notebooks). He also translates texts and articles to or from Dutch, French, English and Italian. Born in 1962 in Belgium he lives nowadays in Rochefort where he settled on the feet of the Belgian Ardennes ridges in a rather quiet environment where he can write and work on his images in a relaxing way. Multilingual (Dutch, French, English, Italian, German and Spanish).
